Kinesiology
Kinesiology is rapidly
gaining in popularity as a powerful but gentle way of helping
people regain their health and achieve their potential. It can
help with many different health issues, such as: eczema, asthma,
migraine, arthritis, have fever allergies, ME menopausal problems,
menstrual problems, tiredness and IBS, emotional stress, anxiety,
depression, panic attacks, lack of self-confidence. Kinesiologist
can help their patient to work out what are the best natural supplements
are best for them. Children with Dyslexia, ADHD and other problems
can be helped too. An accident victim suffering pain and emotional
trauma, or a person who cannot see the way forward may follow
up a recommendation and consult the nearest Kinesiologist.
Kinesiology is muscle
testing, allowing the practitioner to access information about
the client that neither the client or the practitioner know at
a conscious level. It is in a unique position amongst alternative
therapies as it can be practiced as a complete discipline in its
own or used as an additional tool to other therapies such as aromatherapy,
chiropractic, Bowen therapy and homeopathy giving different insights.
Muscles testing is
a painless procedure involving the practitioner applying gentle
pressure to specific parts of the body (often arms and legs) to
test of the response of the underlying muscles. The particular
part of the body involved is placed in a specific position, in
order, as far as possible, to isolate the muscles that is being
tested. The muscle will easily be able to resist the pressure
form the practitioner or will give way, as least slightly. Kinesiologist
uses this response to access information about what is happening
and what is needed. Because of the inter-relationship between
muscles, meridians and body systems, this information can apply
not only to the muscle being tested but also give the valuable
information about other imbalances with the body and the necessary
procedures to correct them.
During a typical
Kinesiology consultation the practitioner takes a case history
and then the client lies on a couch. The practitioner will test
one of more muscles using gentle pressure. Depending on the response,
the practitioner will then use various acupuncture points to stimulate
or sedate the meridians. No needles are involved but the meridians
can be re-balanced using various techniques depending on the particular
branch of Kinesiology. Advice may also be given on supplements,
flower remedies, exercise programs and life-style changed.
Kinesiology works
with babies, young children, mentally handicapped, animals, the
elderly and the downright sceptics! Sometimes a client will only
need a single appointment for their problems, but more generally
people need a series of appointments to maintain their health
and to prevent additional problems arising in the future.
